Privacy Policy

We’re committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, protect and use personal information.

We may review and change this policy periodically to ensure you as the user are clear on how your privacy is being maintained. When we do, we’ll update this version of our Privacy Policy which you can view at any time on our website.

We directly collect Personal Information if you visit us for a consultation, send an enquiry to us from our website, use our online booking system powered by Cliniko or get in touch with us by email or phone. We may also collect some Personal Information if you engage with us through social media.

This information can include your name, gender, date of birth, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses. In the case of visiting us for a consultation we will also collect and retain your health related information with your additional written consent which we obtain from you in writing in the clinic. If you visit us for a consultation we keep a record of your consent form which you as the patient can view at any time.

We do not collect or retain credit card details or hicaps/private health insurance card details. These will be used on each and every occasion when you settle your account in our clinic.

We do not directly collect any special categories of personal data about you. This includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, and genetic and biometric data. Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

The Personal Information we collect is solely for the use of providing you with a healthcare service. Our third party practice management software provider ‘Cliniko’ also securely stores private information in accordance with their Privacy Policy which you can access at any time from their website https://www.cliniko.com/policies/privacy

We may, with consent, use email addresses to share news, tips, updates and special offers. People who receive these promotional emails can unsubscribe at any time.

Other ways we may use your Personal Information:

  • To deliver customer service and assist you with any inquiries you may have.
  • To analyse trends, monitor usage of our services or gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

Except as described in this Privacy Policy, Integrity Physiotherapy will not share, sell, or rent Personal Information with anyone without your permission or unless ordered by a court of law.

We take security seriously. Data is encrypted and stored in state-of-the-art facilities, access is restricted to those who have a need to know, and we regularly review our technology to maintain security.

You can request access to the Personal Information you have provided to us, via email to admin@integrityphysio.com.au

If you think there is a problem with the Personal Information we hold, you can request a correction. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected.

If you want to request erasure of your Personal Information, we’ll take all reasonable steps to do so unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons in which case you will be notified. Specifically, we retain health records under guidance of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. See below:

“A record must be kept for at least 7 years from the date of last entry in the record, unless the patient was less than 18 years old at the date of last entry in the record. If the patient was less than 18 years old at the date of last entry in the record, the record must be kept until the patient attains or would have attained the age of 25 years. The date of last entry in the record means the date the patient concerned was last provided with medical treatment or other medical services by the medical practitioner or medical corporation who provided that treatment or those services.” Australian Physiotherapy Association

Should you require to move your data to another service, you may request the transfer of your data (including Personal Information) to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party that you have chosen, your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

You may withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your Personal Information. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. This will be notified to you at the time of your request if applicable.

We take all reasonable steps to comply with local access and privacy laws, to the extent consistent with legal obligations we have under Australian law.
